This session will address the Québec mining sector’s level of climate change adaption across the entire project life cycle. The presentations will highlight the main climate risks and vulnerabilities faced by the industry, provide an example of climate risk assessment and management based on a mining project at the development stage, and showcase innovative approaches to considering climate change in the context of mine reclamation. Finally, the session will provide an overview of CanAdapt, the new pan-Canadian climate adaptation capacity-building hub.
