Bruno Bussière

Bruno Bussière, Eng., Ph.D., is a professor in the Research Institute on Mines and the Environment (RIME) at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT), Scientific Director of RIME (a joint initiative of UQAT and Polytechnique Montréal), and holder of the NSERC-UQAT Industrial Research Chair on Mine Site Reclamation. Dr. Bussière’s main areas of expertise include mine site reclamation in northern, temperate, and semi-arid climates, as well as mine waste management, climate change impacts on the mining sector, passive treatment of mine effluents, prediction of the geochemical behaviour of mine tailings, and unsaturated zone hydrogeology.
