Bruno Bussière

Bruno Bussière, P.Eng. and Ph.D., is a professor at UQAT’s Institut de recherche en mines et en environnement (IRME), Scientific Director of the Institut de recherche en mines et en environnement created by UQAT and Polytechnique Montréal, and Chairholder of the NSERC-UQAT Industrial Research Chair in Mine Site Reclamation. Dr. Bussière’s main fields of expertise are mine site reclamation in northern, temperate and semi-arid climates, mine waste management, the influence of climate change on the mining sector, passive treatment of mine effluents, prediction of the geochemical behavior of mine waste and unsaturated hydrogeology.
