Alexis Segal

Glencore Canada

Alexis Segal is Vice-President, Government Affairs at Glencore Canada. Previously, he was the head of Corporate Affairs and Communications for the company. In his role, he contributes to the dialogue between the company, governments and other stakeholders on key issues related to Glencore’s operations in Canada.

Alexis Segal has extensive experience in heavy industry. From 2003 to 2017, he worked at Alcan and Rio Tinto, where he notably held the position of Vice-President, Communications for the Aluminium group. He was also Vice-President, Corporate Affairs at Aluminerie Alouette in Sept-Îles. Previously, from 1985 to 2000, he worked at the Port of Québec, notably as Vice-President, Marketing.

He holds a Master’s degree in regional management and regional development from Université Laval.
