Exploration Geochemistry: Regional Approaches and How to Use MRNF Data

Monday, November 18

9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. – Room 308B

Regular rate: $200

Student rate: $50

Workshop Organizer: Réjean Girard (IOS Services Géoscientifiques Inc.)

The aim of the workshop is to update participants on the good practice guide in regard to survey planning, sampling protocol, analytical methods and interpretation procedures, in order to improve signal detection and noise rejection. The two main branches of geochemistry, namely the hydromorphic dispersion and the detrital dispersion, will be discussed, including the impact of environmental conditions in the first case, and mineral controls in the second. Numerous examples will be presented.
