Xavier Lachapelle

Xavier Lachapelle is an engineer specializing in vegetated environmental technologies and the revegetation of industrial sites using fast-growing willow. He is a partner at Ramo, where he heads the phytotechnologies team.

Xavier Lachapelle, Eng. M.Sc.A., holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialization in market finance from HEC Montréal, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and an M.Sc.A. in environmental engineering (wastewater treatment) from Polytechnique Montréal, in conjunction with the Institut de Recherche en Biologie Végétale de l’Université de Montréal. He specializes in wastewater treatment using vegetal filters, and benefited from cutting-edge training in this field at Aarhus University in Denmark during his post-graduate studies.

At Ramo, he and his team implement vegetated systems for water volume reduction or organic matter production on mining and landfill sites.
