Vincent Boulanger-Martel

Vincent has been a professor at the Research Institute of Mining and the Environment at the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue since 2020 and holds the Canada Research Chair in cold regions mining geoenvironment. He has expertise in the restoration of mining sites located in regions of continuous permafrost, in geotechnics and mining restoration in cold regions, as well as in the analysis and numerical modelling of the thermo-hydro-geotechnical behaviour of mine tailings sites. He is also interested in remote sensing applications for the monitoring of mining structures, and the characterization of the geotechnical properties of materials and mine tailings.
