Sylvie Lévesque

Sylvie Lévesque is assistant general manager at Corem. She is a Geologist, M.Sc., and has been a member of the OGQ since 2001. She graduated from Université Laval in 1991. She has over 33 years of experience in the mining industry, including 6 years in geological exploration. In 1998, she began her career at Corem, first as a mineralogist, then as head of laboratories. In 2019, she took on the role of director of technical operations and, in 2020, of executive director of operations.

She is heavily involved in the mining industry, sitting on the board of directors of the QMEA. She also sits on the steering committee of Réseau MCS, as well as on the management committees of Élément08, Women in Mining- Québec Chapter and the EM4 Center.

For several years now, she has been organizing geometallurgy sessions at conferences, including the annual XPLOR convention since 2019.
