Sylvain Ouellette

Sylvain Ouellette joined BVER Solutions in January 2025 as Vice President of Innovation and Engineering. A mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Sherbrooke, he has over 25 years of experience in the mining industry. He began his career in applied research at CANMET, where he developed multidisciplinary expertise by participating in the development of cutting-edge technologies well before their adoption in the field, such as hybrid, electric, and fuel cell vehicles, synthetic cables, and ventilation on demand. He then continued his career as head of special projects at the Malartic mining complex, where he distinguished himself by his ability to design innovative, practical solutions tailored to operational challenges.
