Stéphane Bourg

Stéphane Bourg joined BRGM in 2022 to head up the French Observatory of Mineral Resources for Industrial Sectors (OFREMI), after spending 23 years at the CEA, working for over 10 years on the environmental impacts and materials needs of the energy transition. Since 2016, he has led the European expert network on critical raw materials (SCRREEN). He is a member of COMES (French Committee for Strategic Metals) and president of PROMETIA, the international association for the promotion of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy for mining and recycling.
