Sophie Tremblay
Sophie Tremblay has more than 20 years of experience in the fields of the environment and mining technology. Since 2017, she has been a teacher at Cégep de Sept-Îles in the mineral technology program, where she provides pedagogical support for students and actively participates in departmental and program activities.
Previously, Sophie held key positions at ArcelorMittal Mining Operations Canada, including environment department manager (2014 to present) and environmental protection consultant (2011-2014). There, she coordinated the implementation of the environmental policy, supervised teams, ensured regulatory compliance and led projects related to the ISO 14000 standard.
She began her career at AtkinsRéalis as an environmental project manager (2002-2011), carrying out characterization studies, environmental assessments and restoration projects.
Sophie holds a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering and a master’s degree in business administration.
