Serge Perreault
Mr. Perreault holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geology from the Université de Montréal. He worked for more than 17 years at the Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles of Quebec as a regional geologist, resident geologist in the Sept-Îles and Montréal offices, and assistant to the director general of Géologie Québec in Val-d’Or. Subsequently, he served as senior project manager, senior geoscientist and then interim general director (from February 2020 to January 2021) at SOQUEM, a major player in mineral exploration in Quebec. Actively retired since April 2021, Mr. Perreault is now President of the Ordre des géologues du Québec, a consultant to SOQUEM’s general management and a member of its technical committee, as well as a contract research officer at URSTM-UQAT. From January 2022 to August 2024, he was a lecturer in geology at the Continuing Education and Business services of the Centre d’études collégiales de Chibougamau.
