Serge Perreault

Ordre des géologues du Québec

Mr. Perreault holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in geology from the Université de Montréal. He worked for more than 17 years at Géologie Québec as a regional geologist and resident geologist in Sept-Îles and Montréal, and as assistant to the general director in Val-d’Or. In 2008, he joined SOQUEM as senior project manager, senior geoscientist and then interim general director between February 2020 and January 2021. Actively retired since April 2021, Mr. Perreault was elected administrator of the Ordre des géologues du Québec in May 2021 and has been its president since February 2023. Between January 2022 and September 2024, he was a lecturer at the Centre d’études collégiales de Chibougamau (Cégep de Saint-Félicien). Between autumn 2022 and August 2025, he was a contract research officer at the URSTM-UQAT. In addition to his role at the OGQ, Mr. Perreault sits on the SOQUEM technical committee and the MCS Network scientific committee.
