Ryan Mills is a Senior Hydrogeologist with 22 years of experience collecting, analyzing and presenting hydrogeological data in British Columbia, Yukon, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, United States, Australia, Antarctica and Turkey. He is an external hydrogeology technical reviewer for several regulatory agencies to guide development of EIS and mine permit conditions related to hydrogeology, geochemistry, water management and water quality.

Ryan has significant experience in the following areas:

  • Mine Waste Management and Remediation
  • Water Supply and Water Management

Mr. Mills has experience with all aspects of project execution including program design, implementation, data analysis, report writing and liaison with regulatory agencies. He has coordinated and managed multidisciplinary teams to successfully resolve complex problems involving heavy metals and other constituents at several remote mine sites. He has extensive experience directing hydrogeological investigations, alternatives analysis, groundwater modelling and mine dewatering studies (MODFLOW, FEFLOW, HYDRUS), geochemistry evaluations (PHREEQC), water balance and water quality modelling (GoldSim) for mine development, operations, and closure/remediation in fractured bedrock environments. He has facilitated several Multiple Accounts Analysis and decision analysis workshops to support risk-based remedial decision making.
