Renée-Luce Simard

Ms. Renée-Luce Simard holds a bachelor’s degree in geological engineering from UQAC (2000) and a doctorate in earth sciences from Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia (2005), specializing in mapping, geochemistry and tectonics. She worked for over 10 years for the Manitoba and Ontario geological surveys and was director of the Ontario Geological Survey. She subsequently joined UQAC in 2021 as a professor of geology. Renée-Luce also worked for 3 years in mineral exploration for Ni-Cu, PGE and VMS in Ontario, Quebec and Greenland.
