Pierre-Olivier Couette
Pierre-Olivier Couette is a geomorphologist specializing in Quaternary geology. His main research interests are in understanding the short and long-term behaviour of glaciers and ice caps in relation to external factors such as climate, changes in relative sea level and topography. He is also interested in characterizing glacial depositional systems and the associated geomorphological and sedimentary processes. To carry out his projects, he uses an approach that combines remote sensing methods, fieldwork and various geochronological methods. His current research projects cover a range of present-day and formerly glaciated regions, including the Canadian Arctic, Greenland, Labrador and Nunavik.
