Pierre-Luc Gravel

Pierre-Luc Gravel has been Director of International and Canadian Relations at the Government of Quebec’s Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte aux changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs since 2022. Before becoming manager, he was head of the Canada desk at the Québec secretariat for Canadian relations and intergovernmental relations advisor for some ten years in the Québec public service in the ministries of Agriculture and Energy and Natural Resources. Before joining the Quebec government, Mr. Gravel worked as a researcher, advisor, manager and project leader in universities and with NGOs, particularly in the fields of citizen participation and local and regional development. He was an international cooperant in Latin America and the West Indies, coordinator of the Entente spécifique régionale en persévérance scolaire in the Capitale-Nationale region, and coordinator of the collection Regards sur la jeunesse du monde. As a citizen, he was President of the World Youth Congress and the Quebec City Regional Youth Forum, Director of the Quebec City office of the Institut du Nouveau Monde, Director General of the Quebec Regional Youth Forums and of the Conseil international des jeunes en Francophonie. For two years, he was president of the Ensemble vents et percussions de Québec (EVPQ).   He holds a master’s degree in international relations and university diplomas in public administration, political science and law. He is currently completing a degree in Native Studies.
