Pierre Bedeaux

Pierre Bedeaux completed his university studies at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, devoting his master’s and doctoral degrees to the structural geology, stratigraphy, tectonic evolution and gold potential of the Abitibi South Volcanic Zone. He then took part in the Metal Earth project as a postdoctoral researcher, re-evaluating the stratigraphy and mapping of the Chibougamau region and the relationships with gold mineralization. For the past few years, he has been working for Barrick Gold (now Barrick Mining Corporation) as part of the Canada exploration team. He is responsible for the generative program in the Superior Province, where he participates in the evaluation of new projects. He still teaches at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in the master’s program in mineral exploration.
