
Nicolas Laflamme
Nicolas has nearly 30 years of experience in the private, public and parapublic sectors associated with forestry and energy. He has held the position of Special Assistant to the Office of the Minister of Natural Resources of Canada for forestry and mining issues. As a forestry engineer, he also held positions in business development and financing in the forestry and geomatics technologies sectors at the Société générale de financement du Québec (SGF REXFOR). Nicolas also worked as a Bioenergy Program Manager at the Agence de l’efficacité énergétique du Québec and at the Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles (MERN). His interest in the overall development of the energy sector in Quebec led him to hold the position of Executive Assistant to the Associate Deputy Minister of Energy at the MERN and at the Ministère de l’Économie de l’Innovation et de l’Énergie (MEIE). Finally, mindful of the imperatives of climate change and economic development, Nicolas is mainly involved in the strategic development of future energy sectors such as green hydrogen and bioenergy, using his expertise in biomass supply and business financing.
