Nadia Mohammadi

Nadia Mohammadi is a research scientist at the Geological Survey of Canada (GSC-Central), specializing in igneous petrology and economic geology, with a current focus on Rare Earth Mineralization of the Eastern Canadian Shield. Her work spans from macro-scale field investigations to micro-scale studies utilizing advanced mineral-chemical technologies such as SEM-BSE and laser ablation mineral mapping, alongside isotope geochemistry and geochronology.

She earned her Ph.D. in Earth Sciences from the University of New Brunswick (UNB) in 2019 and has held research positions at both UNB and Carleton University. Nadia is also involved in professional organizations, currently serving as Councillor of the Geological Association of Canada (GAC) and Regional Councillor for North America in the International Association on the Genesis of Ore Deposits (IAGOD).
