Mourad Nedil

Professor Nedil, Ph.D. in telecommunications, senior member of the IEEE, full professor at UQAT since 2019 and holder of an institutional chair in underground communications, is renowned for his expertise in the conception, optimization and validation of antennas and RF circuits. His research is based on advanced approaches such as genetic algorithms and machine learning, enabling him to develop innovative solutions adapted to hostile environments. He has made original contributions in the field of antennas with EBG structures and metamaterials (metasurfaces, AMC, FSS), body antennas (WBAN) and smart antennas. His research group was the first to carry out research into the evaluation of Massive MIMO links in underground environments in the millimetre bands. He has over 130 scientific articles published in leading journals and 170 papers presented at international conferences. In this project, he is responsible for the overall coordination and supervision of all the activities carried out by team members.
