Michael Nahir
Michael Nahir is a civil and environmental engineer with extensive experience in project management, design, and execution of mine site closure projects in Canada. Michael is Parsons’ Director of Mining Environmental Management responsible for the various mining programs for Parsons North America. Parsons is the construction manager for two of the largest abandoned mine closure projects in Canada. Previously, he worked for the Canadian federal government as the Director of Engineering responsible for the oversight of closure design and execution for federal abandoned mine closure projects in Northern Canada. Recently, he was the international project manager for the development of the International Standards Organization (ISO) Mine Closure and Reclamation Planning Standard 21795.
