Mathieu Verreault
Agnico Eagle Mine Goldex
Mathieu Verreault holds a bachelor’s degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering (2017). He began his career at Agnico Eagle’s Goldex mine, where he has worked for the past eight years. Over the years, he has held various roles within the engineering department, including ventilation, drilling and blasting, as well as short-term planning.
His strong interest in mining operations then led him to a position as mine supervisor, where he further deepened his knowledge, particularly in long-hole drilling. For the past year, he has served as project engineer, which has allowed him to work on innovative drilling solutions, including the introduction of the Canister boring tool into Goldex operations.
