Marc-Olivier Fortin
Marc-Olivier Fortin is a leader renowned for his advanced expertise in social acceptability and community relations. He has more than 10 years of experience at the crossroads of the industrial, political and economic sectors. With a degree in economics from McGill University and a master’s in strategy from HEC Montréal, he combines analytical rigour, strategic acumen and solid knowledge of the field.
Director of partnership development at Transfert Environnement et Société, he also acts as project director. As part of his role, he assists a number of players in the mining and industrial sectors in implementing strategies to promote social acceptability and dialogue with communities. He supervises important strategic mandates for major mining companies, including international projects.
His extensive career has given him a keen understanding of Québec’s territorial issues, social acceptability issues, the mining ecosystem, the social dynamics at work and their repercussions on Québec’s economic development.
His expertise in public affairs and government relations is regularly sought by the media. He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Saguenay-Le Fjord Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
