Marc Châteauneuf has over 20 years of experience as a defence scientist specializing in sensors and laser systems for platform protection. He has led NATO and Five Eyes S&T research groups on drone detection and situational awareness. For three years, he led DRDC’s Electro-Optical Surveillance and Reconnaissance division, working on night vision, virtual reality, autonomous systems, AI and quantum technologies. He is currently a scientific advisor at the Valcartier Research Centre, where he contributes to the modernization of NORAD, the development of strategic partnerships and the evolution of Canada’s defence capabilities.
