Manon Cyr

Ms. Manon Cyr has been mayor of Chibougamau since 2009. Trained in political science, then in land planning and regional development, Ms. Cyr has made the economic and social development of Chibougamau her primary goal. First as a regional development officer, then as a citizen and finally as a municipal councillor, she has acquired in-depth knowledge of the players, the context and the issues related to the city’s development. Manon Cyr is an active member of the board of directors of the Eeyou Istchee James Bay Regional Government (GREIBJ), the James Bay Regional Government (ARBJ) and the board of directors of the Union des municipalités du Québec (UMQ).
