Jérôme Gouin

Jérôme Gouin holds a PhD in Sedimentary Geology from the University of Orleans, specializing in mining and metallurgy of deposits associated with organic matter in Europe. He worked as a metallogenic geologist at BRGM from 2005 to 2014 on projects involving precious metals, base metals, and critical metals in France, Europe, West and Central Africa, and French Polynesia. He then worked as a geologist/project manager for the “Saint-Pierre” gold and silver mining exploration permit (Maine-et-Loire, France) at Variscan Mines SAS from 2014 to 2018. As Project Manager for R&D Innovation Mines & Quarries, Geotechnics at the AVENIA cluster since 2019, he co-leads the aLiNA regional program, run by AVENIA and supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, on securing supplies of mineral raw materials for industries in France and Europe.
