Jean Cayouette

A graduate of Université Laval in mining and metallurgical engineering, Mr. Jean Cayouette has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry in the iron, base metals and precious metals sectors. The design, start-up and optimization of various mineral processing plants have contributed to building up a large part of his technical and management experience in the fields of metallurgy, operations, maintenance and the environment. Mr. Cayouette also has nearly 10 years’ experience as a corporate leader in operational optimization, mine site restoration and sustainable development initiatives. Recently, he spent 2 years leading a team dedicated to developing and implementing a global climate resilience action plan for a major industry player. Mr. Cayouette’s leadership qualities often stand out when looking back on his career, and he is eager to leverage his expertise to contribute to New World Graphite’s success as a key player in the next energy transition.
