Idrissa Karaboily

Idrissa Karaboily, P.Geo., is coordinator of the Mineral Processing Department at CTRI and coordinator of the É08 Centre of Excellence on Critical and Strategic Minerals. He leads a team of researchers covering the mineral processing value chain. Mr. Karaboily is responsible for the development, implementation and governance of innovative projects in geometallurgy, hydrometallurgy and mine tailings valorization. With over 15 years of experience in the fields of geosciences, circular economy and sustainable development, he plays a key role in bridging the gap between applied research, industrial challenges and the energy transition. His previous roles include geologist at Agnico Eagle and professor at the Cégep de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Saint-Félicien.
