Hatem Mrad
Hatem Mrad is a full professor at the École de génie of the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) and holds the Strategic Research Chair in Instrumentation 4.0 for intelligent prediction of mechanical failures in mining processes. Mr. Mrad obtained a bachelor’s degree in electromechanics (ENIS, Tunisia, 2001), a master’s degree in structural mechanics (UTC, France, 2003) and a doctorate in engineering (UTC, UQAT, 2008). Over the past 15 years, he has supervised over 60 graduate students and published over 50 scientific articles in partnership with Canadian and international industrialists and institutions. His research focuses mainly on reliable modelling and simulation of structures, data management and enhancement, process optimization and intelligent prediction of mechanical failures.
