With over 25 years of experience in advanced materials and industrial innovation, Dr. Gary Fisher is a recognized expert in materials engineering and applied research for the mining, energy, and manufacturing sectors.

As Subject Matter Expert – Materials at InnoTech Alberta, he leads initiatives focused on the development, testing, and implementation of advanced materials and coatings that enhance performance, durability, and sustainability in industrial operations.

He also serves as Director of the MARIOS Consortium, a collaborative platform bringing together industry, government, and research partners to advance materials innovation in support of decarbonization and efficiency goals.

Dr. Fisher’s expertise bridges applied science and practical deployment, ensuring that innovative material technologies translate into real-world industrial impact across Canada.
