Gabrièle Girouard
Gabrièle Girouard is the director of operations at SEMECS, the biomethanisation organic matter treatment centre in Varennes. She oversees operations at this pioneering facility, which aims to recover more than 120,000 tonnes of organic matter a year and injects renewable natural gas (RNG) into Energir’s network.
A chemical engineer by training, Gabrièle has solid industrial experience, most notably at ArcelorMittal Long Products Canada, where she held positions in processing and the environment. Her career path has led her to combine operational performance, technological innovation and sustainable development.
Through her role at SEMECS, Gabrièle is actively contributing to the development of the RNG sector in Québec, by implementing concrete solutions for the sustainable, safe and efficient use of RNG.
