Gabriel Fortin

Often called upon to work at the heart of decision-making centres, Mr. Fortin has held various positions in the Government of Quebec since 2006. First, at the Ministère des Affaires municipales et des Régions, then the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune, the National Assembly, and the Ministère de l’Économie, de l’Innovation et des Exportations until 2015.

He subsequently held the role of advisor in the Office of the President and CEO of the Société d’habitation du Québec before returning to the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts in 2021, in the Office of the Deputy Minister of Mines. He finally joined the Direction des Affaires minières et de la coordination in 2024.

His diverse experience has led him to take part in a number of projects involving communications strategy, process improvement, legislative modernization, administrative reorganization and planning of government presence at national and international events, including the Québec Mines + Énergie conference.
