Élisa Valentin

MRIF

Ms. Elisa Valentin was appointed on 21 June 2023 as assistant deputy minister of European, Indo-Pacific Relations and Institutional Affairs at the Ministère des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie. She had previously been Québec’s delegate general in Munich since 2020.

Fluent in several languages and with an international background focusing on economic issues, she has been with the MRIF since 2006, where she has worked as director of Europe and European Institutions, director of Asia-Pacific and director of Latin America and the Caribbean, among other positions.

Before joining the Government of Québec, she worked as an economic analyst at Human Resources Development Canada in Ottawa and later in the field of financial communications and sustainable development at Publicis Consultants in Paris.

Elisa Valentin holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations and international law (specializing in international economic relations – Gorizia, Italy, 1998) and a master’s degree in international relations (specializing in international development – Université Laval, Québec, 2006).
