Donald Olivier

Société du parc industriel et portuaire de Bécancour

Donald Olivier holds a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering and management from École de technologie supérieure, acquired in 1994, and has been President and CEO of Société du parc industriel et portuaire de Bécancour (SPIPB) since May 2022.

The SPIPB plays a key role in the battery industry’s deployment strategy, hosting a number of large-scale companies specializing in the production of battery materials, and assisting future investors in the process.

Previously, Olivier was in charge of the closure and decommissioning of the Gentilly-2 nuclear power plant, a highly sensitive project for both the Crown corporation and the Bécancour region.
Also for Hydro-Québec, Olivier was responsible for the operation of 60 dams and 14 hydro-electric plants in the Mauricie/Centre-du-Québec region, in addition to managing numerous dam and spillway dismantling, reconstruction and rehabilitation projects.
