Dominic Larivière

Dominic Larivière, Ph.D., has been a full professor of analytical and environmental chemistry and director of the Radioecology Laboratory at Université Laval since 2008. He is an expert in chemical separation and mass spectrometry applied to the mining and nuclear industries. He designs innovative methods for the detection of emerging inorganic contaminants and the recovery of mine tailings and end-of-life products. His research focuses in part on the sustainable extraction of critical minerals and the design of nanomaterials for the recovery of strategic resources.

The author of more than 120 scientific publications, Mr. Larivière works with Natural Resources Canada and several mining companies to improve environmental safety and resource management from a chemical perspective.
