Christian Tétreault

ACRGTQ

A graduate of the Faculty of Law at the Université de Sherbrooke, he was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1987. After completing his legal internship with the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST), he was hired as a lawyer there until 1991.  

From 1991 to 1996, he continued his career as a litigator with the Association des entrepreneurs en construction du Québec (AECQ), where he developed expertise in labour law in the construction sector.  

In 1996, he was recruited by the Association des constructeurs de routes et grands travaux du Québec (ACRGTQ) to act as litigator in labour law disputes involving the Association’s members.  

Since September 2016, he has been Director of Labour Relations and Legal Affairs at the ACRGTQ. From June 2016 to August 2024, he was appointed by the Association as a member of various committees provided for in the Act respecting labour relations, vocational training and workforce management in the construction industry (Act R-20), including the Committee on fringe benefits in the construction industry and the Committee on vocational training in the construction industry.  

In June 2024, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Commission de la construction du Québec.  

As part of his professional activities on behalf of the ACRGTQ, he played an active role in the 9 rounds of negotiations that have taken place since the modification of the negotiation structure in the construction industry.
