Charles Godreau
A dynamic engineer, Charles has quickly made his mark on the team and the industry. He specializes in assessing the performance of wind turbines in cold climates and in ice detection and protection systems, and currently holds the position of Program Manager.
Phlegmatic, Charles hides behind a seemingly unflappable composure a discreet leadership and a rigour no less remarkable. Analyzing operational data from wind turbines, identifying, planning and implementing research projects, taking part in conferences: these are just some of the areas in which he has particular skills.
His contributions include the creation of an image processing tool for ice detection, the generation of tools aimed at analyzing operational data, the development of performance analysis methodologies and the management of wind turbine instrumentation projects in northern climates.
He holds a master’s degree in energy and fluid mechanics from the École Polytechnique de Montréal, and represents Canada on the International Energy Agency’s Task 19 working group on wind energy in cold climates.
