Benoit Plante

Benoît Plante has been a professor at UQAT’s Research Institute in Mining and the Environment (RIME) since 2011. He has also been the group’s scientific director since 2024. His work focuses on the environmental geochemistry of mine tailings, in particular on the prediction of the contamination potential of mine drainage, as well as on the geochemistry of critical and strategic metal mine tailings.
