Vice-President of Government Affairs at Sayona Mining, Armand MacKenzie practiced law for 15 years and was senior legal advisor on land rights for the Innu Nation.

In the UN field, he is considered by his peers as an expert in relations between extractive industries and indigenous peoples. He has negotiated numerous impact and benefit agreements for mining companies and indigenous communities. For the past 15 years, Armand MacKenzie has been active as an executive, consultant and manager in the mining sector, notably with Dynacor, New Millenium Iron Corp, Tata Steel, Nouveau Monde Graphite, Fortescue and First Phosphate.

Finally, as a businessman, he sits on the Board of Directors of the New York-based organization, Council for the Canadian-American Relations Council.
