Annie Desrosiers

Annie Desrosiers has worked in the mining industry in Abitibi-Témiscamingue and on the Côte-Nord for nearly 15 years. She has held various positions relating to social acceptability, sustainable development, public affairs, community relations, crisis management, and health and safety.

For the past 6 years, she has been responsible for communications and community relations at Agnico Eagle – Goldex Complex, which has two operating sites: the Goldex and Akasaba West mines.

Having grown up in a mining town, she has gained valuable experience of the various issues involved in the industry’s cohabitation with communities. She understands how important it is for organizations to develop relationships of trust with stakeholders and to adjust their approaches to community relations in order to maintain the social acceptability of projects.
