Anne-Sylvie ANDRE-MAYER (Full professor in Economic Geology) is the current head of the GeoRessources Research Center (Université de Lorraine-CNRS) in Nancy, France. She has extensive experience in economic geology worldwide, focusing on Proterozoic mineral systems, especially (i) through the AMIRA WAXI international project that deals with gold mineral system in West Africa since 2006, and (ii) several projects dealing with U-REE-Nb-Ta-Li mineral systems. She supervised 16 PhD theses (four still in progress) and around 50 master’s theses. She leads the mineral resources education program at the National School of Geology since 2023, and is involved in École Abitibi, a student exchange program developing mineral exploration skills in collaboration with UQAT, since 2011.
