Andrea Amortegui

Andrea Amortegui holds a bachelor’s degree in Earth sciences from the National University of Colombia. She completed a master’s degree at the University of Montpellier in France on the structure of the lithosphere, and a doctorate on geochemistry at the University of Grenoble. In 2009, she completed a post-doctorate at the Université du Québec à Montréal. Ms. Amortegui has been with the general directorate of Géologie Québec at the Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles du Québec since 2010. She worked as scientific advisor to the director general of Géologie Québec until 2017 and has held management positions since then. Ms. Amortegui has been Director of Geoscience Knowledge Acquisition since 2018.
