Alexandra Roio

MRNF

Ms. Alexandra Roio has been director of the mining site reclamation team at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MRNF) since 2020. Since her arrival, the team has experienced significant growth. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from UQAM and a master’s degree in environmental biogeoscience from Laval University. In her professional career, she worked as a biologist in the private sector and in consultation. From 2012, she held various positions at the MELCCFP before becoming a manager at the Directorate for the Environmental Assessment of Northern Projects and Mining. She was also director of road design at the Ministry of Transport. The mining sites reclamation management team is a dynamic team, unique in its kind, since it is made up of multidisciplinary professionals who work collegially to carry out the reclamation of mining sites under the responsibility of the province. As a manager, she is concerned with creating a harmonious working atmosphere and she leaves a lot of space for teamwork and people’s creativity.
