Alexander Ure

Alexander Ure has 15 years of experience as a geologist and mineralogist with expertise in applied mineralogy, including the use of the Mineral Liberation Analyzer (MLA) automated mineralogy instrument. He has completed a bachelor degree in geology at the University of Melbourne, Australia, and a PhD in applied mineralogy at the University of Nottingham, UK. In 2018 he joined Corem, and is now the leader of the mineralogy team. In this role he has conducted mineralogical characterization studies, assisted process development projects, and led, contributed to, and supervised students in research projects related to iron ore, heavy mineral sands, lithium and other critical and strategic minerals, including copper, nickel and zinc sulfides, and conducted waste rock and tailings characterization studies.
