Alex Proulx

MRNF

Alex Proulx holds a Bachelor of Applied Natural Sciences with a focus on environment and a major in geology, as well as a Master of Earth Sciences from the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). His master’s thesis focused on Quaternary deposit mapping, paleoenvironmental reconstruction, and glacioprospecting in northern Quebec. Since 2024, he has been working as a Quaternary geologist-in-training at the Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MRNF), where he contributes to surface mapping surveys and the assessment of surface environments’ mineral potential. In the fall of 2025, he will begin a PhD in Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at UQAM, focusing on the stratigraphy of the Abitibi region.
