Alessio Scanziani

Alessio Scanziani is an Energy Security Analyst in the Critical Minerals Division at the International Energy Agency (IEA), where he has worked since 2020. He currently leads several workstreams within the IEA’s Critical Minerals Security Programme and contributes to the Agency’s analytical work and multilateral engagement in the critical minerals field. Over the years, Alessio has supported governments around the world in advancing energy policies across a wide range of sectors. Prior to joining the IEA, he worked at Kayrros, an energy data intelligence company. He holds a PhD in Earth Science and Engineering from Imperial College London and a Master’s degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano.
