Abdellatif El-Bakkali

Abdellatif El-Bakkali has over 20 years of experience in the mining industry, with a strong expertise in industrial research and development. He has contributed to numerous projects across various fields, including base and precious metals, critical metals, battery materials, phosphates, and aluminum. His skills extend to the development and optimization of processes and technologies, while also fostering strategic partnerships and commercial growth. Throughout his career, Abdellatif has held several technical and management positions, gaining a comprehensive understanding of project management and leadership. For nearly eight years at SGS, where he currently serves as Technical Director and Business Development Director, he works closely with clients to understand their technical needs and provide tailored advice on SGS services. He is also responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities to ensure sustainable growth. Abdellatif holds a master’s degree and a PhD in materials engineering and metallurgy from the University of Orléans, France.
