Established in 2012, the Agnico Eagle-Eldorado Research Chair’s mission is to create a world-class center of expertise aimed at developing new exploration methods using indicator minerals to discover new gold deposits. The Chair is a research partnership between NSERC, Agnico Eagle Mines, Eldorado Gold Quebec and the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts of Quebec.

Each year, a dozen students from the Chair present the progress of their research projects on the Friday following Québec Mines at Université Laval. The event is attended by some thirty students, professionals and researchers from the mining industry.

For the 2024 edition, the workshop will be held as part of the Québec Mines training program. It will provide an opportunity to learn about and discuss the scientific research for gold exploration involved in various projects in Québec and Nunavut carried out by qualified and motivated students from this Research Chair.
