Youssef Dehbi

MRNF

Mr. Youssef Dehbi is Director General of Mining Industry Development at the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts du Québec (MRNF). In this capacity, he is responsible for monitoring active mines and mining projects under development in Quebec and elsewhere in the world. He puts his team’s expertise to work for internal and external partners, analyzing and supporting mining projects being developed in Quebec.

After graduating from Université Hassan II de Casablanca in Morocco with a degree in environmental engineering, obtaining a master’s degree in geomatics from Université de Sherbrooke and a master’s degree in land use planning and regional development from Université Laval, Mr. Dehbi worked in the field of transportation and urban mobility, holding several positions within the Service du transport de la Ville de Québec since 2009.

In 2023, he joined the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts to take charge of the Mining Industry Development Branch and promote the development of Quebec’s mineral resources, mainly by assisting stakeholders in the realization of mining projects and by supporting research in the field.
