Véronique Morency

Ms. Véronique Morency holds a bachelor’s degree in public communications. Having begun her professional career in strategic communications, she joined Hydro-Québec as a community relations advisor, where she worked in partnership with local governments and municipal stakeholders to reconcile interests and ensure harmonious development of the territory. In February 2020, she joined the Société du Plan Nord as a marketing consultant. She has a wealth of experience in maximizing the benefits of public and private investment in the region, and in economic development with local, regional and aboriginal players, including support in the financing process. Véronique’s solid experience is focused on regional economic development and collaboration with stakeholders.

At the Ministère des Ressources naturelles et des Forêts, her mandate is to act as an economic impact maximization advisor, coordinating work aimed at maximizing the economic impact of mining projects, as well as work related to the availability of a qualified workforce in the CSM sector.
