Sylvester Trapper

Sylvester Trapper is the Mining Liaison Coordinator for the Abitibiwinni First Nation. In this role, he is responsible for consultations, negotiations, and the implementation of agreements related to mining and development projects on the Nation’s traditional territory. By maintaining close relations with mining companies, governments, and various industry partners in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, he has developed a broad network of contacts that gives him a clear view of the issues, opportunities, and trends influencing the mining sector. His work aims to protect the community’s interests while promoting sustainable economic benefits that respect the values of the Abitibiwinni First Nation.
